American Legion Post 1 Centennial

Lunch With Books at the Ohio County Public Library will help Wheeling's Post One of the American Legion, officially the oldest post in the United States, to celebrate the centennial of its founding in France in 1919.

The program will include a history of Post 1, artifacts, images, music, and cake.

Lunch With Books: May 21 at noon - American Legion Post 1 Centennial

Officially the oldest post in the United States, Wheeling American Legion Post 1 was founded March 1, 1919.

Lunch With Books starts at noon in the Library Auditorium.

Ohio County Public Library

The Ohio County Public Library serves all persons who live in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, which includes Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler counties. Residents in Jefferson, Belmont and Monroe counties of Ohio and Washington, Greene and Allegheny counties of Pennsylvania may also receive library services. 

Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Friday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
