Did you, your parents, or grandparents serve in the military during World War II? Was your mother or grandmother a local "Rosie?" Do you remember having to use ration booklets and stamps during the war? YOU are the guest at this Wheeling Memories Nostalgia Series program where we will talk about local men and women who served during WWII, local businesses who manufactured materials for the war effort and the employees who made it happen, and what Wheeling, in general, was like during the war years of the 1940s. Dr. David Javersak hosts.
Dr. David Javersak grew up in Weirton and was educated at West Liberty State College, the University of Hawaii, and WVU. He is Dean Emeritus of Liberal Arts and Professor Emeritus of History at West Liberty University.
