LUNCH WITH BOOKS: Yukon Adventures
June 06, 2017
12:00pm - 12:00pm
Jeremy McCamic returns to discuss the life and times of his friend and Linsly classmate, Dick North. North was a journalist and the author of five books about Canada's Yukon Territory. He helped establish the Jack London Interpretive Centre and organized an expedition to salvage the cabin in which London spent the winter of 1897-98. North's last book, the autobiographical Sailor on Snowshoes, tells the full story of his lifelong obsession with all things Jack London. North became a Canadian citizen, and in 2008, was made a Member of the Order of Canada.
