Library Closed on 4th of July


The Library will be closed Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Normal library hours will resume Friday, July 5th. 


While the Library will be closed on the 4th of July, access is always available to many library services remotely. With an internet connection, you can enjoy online services from anywhere. Browse and borrow downloadable books, audiobooks, and videos from the West Virginia Downloadable Entertainment Library Initiative (wvdeli.overdrive.com), Hoopla (hoopladigital.com), and the rbDigital Gateway. Also available through rbDigital are streaming video (Acorn TV; Spanish language telenovelas and movies; art & music instruction videos; The Great Courses classes; live concerts; and personal development videos), language learning modules in over 120 languages, online ACT and SAT Test Preparation, and downloadable magazines (available for permanent checkout).

All it takes to log in is your library card number and PIN and you are ready to start downloading or streaming to your tablet or smartphone, anytime, anywhere.

Ohio County Public Library

The Ohio County Public Library serves all persons who live in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, which includes Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler counties. Residents in Jefferson, Belmont and Monroe counties of Ohio and Washington, Greene and Allegheny counties of Pennsylvania may also receive library services. 

Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Friday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
