Current Work
American Bridge continues to construct a temporary catwalk along the main cables, this will allow access for future cable wrap and repair
American Bridge continues the removal and replacement of the Steel Grid Deck, moving from east to west
Bayliss & Ramey, Inc. continues work on placing conduit in preparation to install the new electrical control station on the southeast corner of the bridge
Conomos is cleaning the top flanges of the floorbeams during the deck removal process
Beginning repairs to the Timber Truss - replacing truss members, castings, and lag bolts
Work Completed to Date (Updated 3-8-99)
Began work on Northeast Anchorage.
Cleaned and Primed Coated Steel Structure.
Misc. Steel Repairs - replaced deteriorating floorbeams, stiffeners, etc.
Began work on ornamental, Pedestrian and Navigational Lighting.
Removed the concrete backwall at each abutment
Placed new navigational lights
