Adventures in Transportation with Dale Rothert

We are all involved in transportation every day. We walk about our homes, ride in a vehicle, and use various means to get from place to place. Dale Rothert will tell us about just some of the transportation developments in our area—from a President being transported to Washington on his way to take office who stopped breakfast in our area to a local sidewalk which notes transportation history. Think those oil and gas rigs are big? Even larger items have moved through the area! Do you know Lunch With Books takes place every week at the site of a former local rail terminal? Found out all this and more, Tuesday, January 30 at noon Lunch With Books at the Ohio County Public Library.

Dale Rothert came to the Wheeling area in 1967 to start a news-talk format in radio. He worked in local radio for 18 years. Dale served as an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner and holds Advanced flight and ground instructor certificates. He taught aviation ground school at several local colleges and schools in their adult education programs.

Lunch With Books starts at noon in the Library Auditorium. 

The Ohio County Public Library's "Lunch With Books" programs are free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring a bag lunch. Complimentary beverages are provided. "Bring your lunch, feed your brain." For more information, call the library at 304-232-0244.
