Hailed by Marty Stuart as the "Real Deal" and by Jay Leno as "West Virginia's best kept secret," Richard Bruce Morriale, aka, "Yodeling Dick Brooks" discovered his voice in the mid 1940s at a school assembly in Brooklyn, NY. He taught himself to yodel by listening to the radio and learned his first guitar chords when he was 15 from a 12-year-old friend. He has been performing in public since 1949, including work on the radio as a performer, DJ, and announcer on various stations in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and West Virginia. The oldest living and active member of the Wheeling Jamboree, Yodeling Dick can be heard Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m. eastern time on WWOV 101.1 FM in Wheeling or over the internet at WWOVFM.com -- just click "Listen Live."
