LUNCH WITH BOOKS: Landing in London and Greater Great Britain
September 05, 2017
12:00pm - 12:00pm

When a group of travelers from St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church waited for an overseas flight in a terminal of JFK Airport in New York on June 3, reports began filtering in concerning a deadly incident on London Bridge. Little did they realize how close they would be to the site of the terrorists’ attack just a day later. Despite their proximity to the area where the incident occurred, members of the group felt safe within the City and following their stay in London, went on to tour castles, palaces, cathedrals, abbeys, village churches and stately homes; admire gorgeous gardens and parks and spend time at the seaside. Join Linda Comins, reporter at the Wheeling News-Register, and Fr. Richard Skaggs, assistant rector at St. Matthew's, as they share their experiences in London following the terrorist attack and take you on a visual tour of some of Britain's great attractions.

Lunch With Books programs are free and open to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring a bag lunch and complimentary beverages are provided. Call the library at 304-232-0244.
