The past few weeks have brought devastation to the Ohio Valley. The flash flooding that took place on June 14th took so much from our community, and repeated heavy rains have only made repairing and moving forward from the flooding that much harder. This, in part with an extreme heat wave, has put incredible stress on the valley. Our hearts go out to the community at this time. The incredible loss of this disaster is still being felt, and as the community recovers, we want to help in whatever way we can.
A message from our Director, Amy Kastigar:
“Ohio County has faced its share of trials in the last few weeks. Terrible flooding, extremely high temperatures, and continued rain have challenged our residents and left us wondering, “What can we do to help?” And as your library, our answer ultimately is to carry on doing what we do best.
