The Ohio County Public Library has an opening for a part-time (31 hrs weekly) clerk/shelver. Individual must be a high school graduate with excellent typing and computer skills. Attention to detail is required. Duties include answering phones, checking books out to patrons and checking them back in, renewing books in person and over the phone,  collecting fines, create user new user accounts and cards, renewing and updating existing Library cards, shelving books accurately in both regular and children's (requires bending low or kneeling for extended periods) areas, and assisting the Children's Specialist to prepare for children's activities.  Applicants should be familiar with the Dewey Decimal System and have the ability to accurately alphabetize. 

This is a 31 hour per week part-time position. Work schedule is Mon. 3-9 pm; Tues. 3-9 pm; Wed. 3-9 pm; Thurs. 3-9 pm; Sat. 9am-5pm.  Position begins at $10 hourly with sick and vacation leave.
