LUNCH WITH BOOKS LIVESTREAM: Wheeling Poetry Series - Marc Harshman Unplugged

As an “occasional” feature of the Wheeling Poetry Series, our host for the series, Marc Harshman, will join us for a reading from recent work including work reflecting life during the pandemic. He’ll also read select poems from his new book forthcoming from Salmon Press in the Republic of Ireland. Following the reading he will be interviewed by Sean Duffy and Erin Rothenbuehler regarding less literary topics such as his favorite color, favorite food, earliest memory, favorite rock band, favorite beer, biggest fears, favorite Seinfeld episode, least favorite film, guilty pleasure books, etc.!

This program will be available to watch live on Facebook Live, on YouTube, and on the OCPL website's LWB Livestream page Log into your Facebook or YouTube account during the program to leave questions for Marc in the comments box. He will answer them during the live broadcast. 


PRESENTER BIO: Marc Harshman is the Poet Laureate of West Virginia. His Woman in Red Anorak, won the 2017 Blue Lynx Poetry Prize and was published last year by Lynx House/University of Washington Press. His fourteenth children’s bookFallingwater, co-written with Anna Smucker, an Amazon Book of the Month, was published by Roaring Brook/Macmillan in 2017. His poetry collection, Believe What You Can, was published in 2016 by WVU Press and won the Weatherford Award from the Appalachian Studies Association. Poems have been anthologized by Kent State University, the University of Iowa, University of Georgia, and the University of Arizona. He was named co-winner of the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award in 2019.
