Soldiers' Monument Poem, 1883
Written by poet and glassmaker William Leighton, the Soldiers' Monument Poem was read at the dedication of the Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument at "Capitol Square" in front of the old state capitol (city building) at 16th and Chapline Streets on May 30, 1883.
